Ready to take your Swedish skills even further? Swedish 3 focuses on practical communication for daily life, shopping, travel, and social interactions. This course is ideal for learners who have completed Swedish 2 or have equivalent knowledge.

Objectives and content: Course 3 covers chapters 8–10 in the book (Rivstart A1+A2), and corresponds to level A1.3 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Having accomplished this course, the student will be able to

• communicate in customer situations such as in a department store
• talk about colors and properties of products
• discuss travelling and tourist attractions in Stockholm and Malmö
• write short messages such an SMS
• show the way around a town
• discuss transport
• talk about the weather
• use ordinal numbers
• use verbs in the perfect tense, use nouns in the definite plural tense, use prepositions of place

Book: Lindemalm-Scherrer: Rivstart A1+A2 (Natur & Kultur), 2023, textbook and exercise book, chapters 8–10

Grading: 0-5

The course is worth 1 study credit (Oma Opintopolku/My Studyinfo) and comprices 29 h, a test of about 1 h +   about 5 h independent work. Instructions for obtaining study credits will be provided prior to the start of the course.
