Objectives and content: Course 8 covers chapters 14-18 in the book (Rivstart B1+B2) and corresponds to level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Having finished Swedish 8 the student will be able to:

• talk about consumption and commerce
• engage in conversations about networking and job searching
• learn about working life and professional environments
• discuss family structures and relationships
• use transitive and intransitive verbs correctly in different contexts
• apply sentence adverbs and participial constructions accurately
• express contrast and cause effectively in speech and writing
• write a cover letter, a personal profile and a summary

Book: Lindemalm-Scherrer: Rivstart B1+B2 (Natur & Kultur), 2025 (Third edition), textbook and exercise book, chapters 14-18

Grading: pass/fail

The course is worth 1 study credit (Oma Opintopolku/My Studyinfo) and comprices 29 h, a test of about 1 h + about 5 h independent work. Instructions for obtaining study credits will be provided prior to the start of the course.
