Objectives and content: Course 8 covers chapters 5-7 in the book (Rivstart B1+B2) and corresponds to level B2.1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Having finished Swedish 8 the student will be able to:
talk about leisure activities and socializing
discuss forms of government, and politics
describe geographical regions and traditional foods
explore the history of Sweden and the Nordic countries
use prepositions correctly in various contexts
express time and duration with appropriate time expressions
deepen the understanding of word order in both main and subordinate clauses
Starting level: B2.1
Book: Lindemalm-Scherrer: Rivstart B1+B2 (Natur & Kultur), 2025 (Third edition), textbook and exercise book, chapters 5-7
Grading: pass/fail
The course is worth 1 study credit (Oma Opintopolku/My Studyinfo) and comprices 29 h, a test of about 1 h + about 5 h independent work. Instructions for obtaining study credits will be provided prior to the start of the course.
