Objectives and content: The course is intended for beginners, both for foreigners and Finns. We learn everyday communication and the ABC’s of the Swedish grammar. We also take a look at Swedish culture. You are expected to know some Finnish or English since these languages, alongside Swedish, are used in teaching. The teaching comprises role plays, pictures, grammar, music, games, films and internet exercises. At the end of the course there is a test.
Starting level: Beginner level
Book: Lindemalm-Scherrer: Rivstart A1+A2 (Natur & Kultur), 2014, textbook and exercise book, chapters 1–4.
