Who can join our courses?
Our courses are open to everyone—regardless of age, nationality, previous education, or current study rights. You can join from anywhere in the world, and no Finnish ID is required.
What kind of courses do we offer?
We offer effective, high-quality Finnish language courses. You can choose from intensive multi-level courses, YKI preparation, speaking practice, or online writing courses.
What are the intensive courses like?
We provide intensive Finnish courses year-round, from level 1 to level 8. You can start without any prior knowledge of Finnish and progress up to B2 (CEFR) level. You may follow the instruction course by course or join a suitable level based on your current skills.
Which books are used in the intensive courses?
We use the Suomen mestari book series in our intensive courses. The books are available both in print and digital formats. The books can be purchased from major bookstores and various online shops.
Is there a test at the end of the course?
Yes, each intensive course ends with a test. After completing the course, you can request a certificate of completion with your test results, or a certificate of attendance if you did not take the test. Both certificates require at least 50 % attendance.
Are the courses online or onsite?
Courses are either online or onsite, depending on the specific course. Online courses are typically held via Teams or Zoom.
What is the language of instruction?
The primary language of instruction is Finnish. Immersion in Finnish is the most effective way to learn the language.
Is there level testing before the course?
We do not conduct level testing before the course. We recommend evaluating your level, for example by reviewing the Suomen mestari books and their chapters to find the best fit for you.
